Voices of the Shelters – Interiorization Program

This video tells the story of another Venezuelan family that has the opportunity to begin over with their life in southern Brazil. While they wait in the Manaus Transit Shelter (MTS) to reach their destination, they describe the experience of living as refugee immigrants, and are grateful for all the opportunities received.

Through the Interiorization Program, developed by Operation Welcome, agencies of the UN and partners, more than 50 thousand people will be able to remake their lives in the various Brazilian States.

The MTS, under management of the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF), is a temporary shelter created as an extension of the work done in the Roraima Humanitarian Mission and is for receiving Venezuelan immigrant and refugees that arrive from Boa Vista, Pacaraima, or even Manaus, to take flights bound for other Brazilian States.
