Whether in assistance to refugees and migrants in Brazil and in various parts of the world, or in social, natural and environmental disasters, the humanitarian missions established by the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/a> since 2011 have been responding to emergency calls in several parts of the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With ever more encompassing demands, the selfless and volunteer work of people who make themselves available for this offering is always welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To prepare the aspirants to missionary service, the Training and Development Sector (T&D)<\/a> of the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF), through its Missionary Formation Program, offers training and formation courses which, in the current context, are offered online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 27, the T&D Sector, together with the Secretary of the institution Headquarters, carried out a Meeting of Missionary Outreach with 15 people. During the activity, the work of the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a> was introduced, as well as the legacy of a decade of Humanitarian Missions. In addition, it was possible to have the participation of missionaries that currently comprise the coordinating team of the Roraima Mission, who presented a deeper view of the work carried out in the Brazilian state since 2016, as well as the work of the T&D Sector<\/a> itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sector will continue the training in a future meeting, in which the Global Humanitarian Scene will be rendered in context. It will be a course for those already aligned with the missionary work, but who have not gone to the field yet, and also for beginners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sphere Handbook<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With an approach that includes quality and accountability principles in humanitarian responses, the Sphere Handbook brings essential guidelines so that all people affected by a disaster or conflict may have the right to live with dignity and receive humanitarian help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since May 2020, Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a> is the focal point of the Sphere Association (Geneva)<\/a> in Brazil, providing training and thus enabling individuals and organizations wishing to apply the Sphere guidelines in their assistance at humanitarian response situations in Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October 2020, Irdin Editora, in partnership with the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF), released the Portuguese translation of the Sphere Handbook, an initiative that will also contribute to expand the reach of the initiatives aligned with the Sphere Project. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
