Always with the purpose of guaranteeing the right to life of individuals affected by humanitarian crises, the Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/a> continuously improves their team performance, always using the most recognized training methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So in the first month of May, in the Humanitarian Roraima Mission<\/a>, a training was carried out on CCCM \u2013 Camp Coordination, Camp Management<\/em>, for the operational teams that are at the head of the five shelters<\/a> managed by the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meaning and Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"Training<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

From the acronym in English, CCCM \u2013 Camp Coordination, Camp Management<\/em> comes the title of this course,<\/em> according to what Ricardo Baumgartner<\/a> explains, who is a head missionary of the Humanitarian Fraternity<\/a> (FIHF)<\/a> and coordinator of the training; \u201cCamp Coordination\u201d, which means Coordination of the Camp or Coordination<\/em> of the Shelter, is a strategic training for coordinating and managing several shelters, and Camp Management<\/em> refers to the manager, the coordinator of each shelter.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he adds, \u201cin the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a> we have the two functions. We are a Camp Coordination<\/em>, because we have five shelters and do the operational coordinating of those five shelters, and for each of them there is a manager, the coordinator (Camp Management<\/em>).\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program of the CCCM of the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a> with support from the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR)<\/a> will have a total of three classes. \u201cIn this first class, we have twenty-three participants, two being members of other institutions, the Refuge #343 and OIM. Following will be the second class, which is the complement of the shelter\u2019s team, and the third will take place in the Transit Shelter (ATM) in Manaus<\/a>\u201d, adds Ricardo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training of the Teachers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is the first course that is being implemented based on that methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this, at the end of the year 2020, there was a training called ToT \u2013 Training of Trainers<\/em>, specifically for trainers. According to Ricardo, \u201cfor many years there was no such training of teachers here in Brazil. Before, it was only done in English or Spanish, but this time it was completely in Portuguese, with all the material produced and properly adapted to our reality here in Brazil.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training as a whole, as well as the corresponding material, has its content based on the Humanitarian Charter of the Sphere Handbook.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Basic Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ricardo considers that this training provides very elaborate tools, a very relevant conceptual foundation, of a much higher level, which in practice, allows several points to be better worked on, \u201cwith all that content based on the Humanitarian Charter, on the Sphere Handbook concepts, we can be much more attentive to operational issues of the shelter, involving the areas of protection, community participation, distribution, registration, and all the coordination in a general.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he adds, \u201cThis training is very important for the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a> and for a humanitarian response, because we are going to raise the level of knowledge of the whole team, provide a more adequate response, more based on international humanitarian concepts, while at the same time, we will be able to prepare not only the contractor teams, but also the team of volunteers, to be able to respond in any part of the world, within those concepts.\u201d It is what Ricardo aspires to as the coordinator of the training. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
