In June, the\u00a0<\/span>Trainingand Development Sector (T&D)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0of the\u00a0<\/span>Fraternity \u2013 InternationalHumanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0did a ten-module training on the<\/span>\u00a0SphereHandbook<\/a>\u00a0for members of the OAB\/Sp Immigrant and Refugee Rights Commission, the OAB\/Osasco (SP) Human Rights Commission and professionals from other areas of municipal public management such as health and public safety.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

According to the president of the OAB\/Osasco, Dr. Maria Jos\u00e9 Bonetti, the OAB, through Friar Luciano, general manager of the\u00a0Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a><\/u>, found out about the Sphere Project and immediately envisioned the possibility of conducting training for members of the commission linked to human rights.<\/p>\n\n

During the training, done online with the participation of 21 people, the content of the\u00a0<\/span>Sphere Handbook<\/a><\/u>\u00a0was presented, with its essential \u00a0and technical chapters, and also a perspective on the application of the\u00a0Sphere Standards in Urban Scenarios<\/u>. Also presented was the service done by the\u00a0Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and the legacy of a decade of\u00a0Humanitarian Missions<\/a><\/u>\u00a0in various countries of the world, their performance in the State of\u00a0Roraima<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and in the\u00a0<\/span>TransitShelter in Manaus (TSM)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0with Venezuelan immigrants and refugees.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

\"Training<\/figure><\/div>\n\n

Ricardo Treno, humanitarian server of the\u00a0Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0speaks about carrying out the course: \u201cwe sought to build bridges, links between the knowledge being provided and what was already part of the scope of the area of activity of the participants in the training. In spite of already dealing with the subject in the social interventions they do, they were not familiar with the approach of the\u00a0Sphere Handbook<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis training is very relevant for the OAB because one of the roles of our institution is to promote the reduction of inequalities. For our Commission, dedicated to the defense of the rights of immigrants and refugees, it opened many perspectives and possibilities for new horizons. We are very grateful to the whole team that conducted this training,\u201d highlights Dr. Maria Jos\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n

Sphere Handbook<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n\n

With an approach to the principles of quality and responsibility in humanitarian responses, the\u00a0Sphere Handbook<\/a>\u00a0has essential guidelines so that all people affected by a catastrophe or conflict can have the right to live with dignity and receive humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n\n

The\u00a0Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a><\/u>\u00a0is the focal point of the Sphere (Geneva) in Brazil, and since January of 2021, has become the converging point for individuals and organizations that wish to implement the Sphere recommendations in their assistance activities, in humanitarian response situations in Brazil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
