{"id":133118,"date":"2021-10-14T20:32:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-14T23:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/processes-of-entrepreneurship-developed-by-the-humanitarian-fraternity-fihf\/"},"modified":"2021-10-20T20:32:41","modified_gmt":"2021-10-20T23:32:41","slug":"processes-of-entrepreneurship-developed-by-the-humanitarian-fraternity-fihf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/en\/processes-of-entrepreneurship-developed-by-the-humanitarian-fraternity-fihf\/","title":{"rendered":"Processes of Entrepreneurship Developed by the Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the last five months,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/en\/?s=Setor+Meios+de+Vida\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Livelihoods \u2013 Lasting Solutions Sector<\/a>&nbsp;team of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Federation (FIHF)<\/a>&nbsp;has been focusing a greater effort on encouraging entrepreneurship among those living in the shelters under its management in Roraima.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Partner institutions such as&nbsp;<b><u>Vis\u00e3o Mundial<\/u><\/b>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<b><u>Pan-American Development Foundation (PADF)<\/u><\/b>&nbsp;are offering their support, and investing in resources such as raw materials and tools that are needed so that those in the shelters can carry out their projects or business ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sister Mar\u00eda de Kibeho, a monk of the Grace Mercy Order and coordinator of the handicrafts and entrepreneurship area, explains how the process begins: \u201ceverything begins by listening and observing what the shelter people want or plan to do with their lives. It is a stage we call becoming aware, and is done by the&nbsp;<b><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Humanitarian Fraternity (FIHF)<\/a><\/u><\/b>&nbsp;team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Entrepreneurship \" class=\"wp-image-133092\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_5-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_5-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_5-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_5.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The training currently takes place in the following areas: sewing, shoemaking, carpentry, electricity, masonry, food (bakery and food-handling), gardening, beauty (barbershop, manicure and pedicure), IT, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/en\/?s=+Centro+de+Forma%C3%A7%C3%A3o+Cultural+Ind%C3%ADgena+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indigenous Cultural and TrainingCenter (ICTC)<\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\"><b><u><\/u><\/b>, which was inaugurated at the beginning of this year, houses the part of training to do with sewing and shoemaking, beauty salon and IT, and it is in the Jardim Floresta Shelter where the training sessions on food takes place, because there is a bread shop set up there, with all the necessary equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After going through training, if there is an interest, the shelter people receive full monitoring for the development of their business plan, which has the following components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Human Component \u2013&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">conversation meetings, entrepreneurial workshops, training of work teams, reinforcement of personal skills, among others;<\/span><\/li><li><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Marketing Component \u2013&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">establishment of the brand, digital or physical catalog;<\/span><\/li><li><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Operational and Production Component \u2013&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">establishment of production lines or purchasing services, raw materials, production sites, among others;<\/span><\/li><li><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Financial Component \u2013&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">initial investment analysis, materials costing, budget, pricing, among others;<\/span><\/li><li><i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Legal Component \u2013&nbsp;<\/span><\/i><span lang=\"EN-US\">Trademark registration, MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur) registration, among others.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And lastly, looking for events and shows to go to the market and find potential customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-exemplos-de-sucesso-projetos-e-empreendedores\">Examples of Success \u2013 Projects and Entrepreneurs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-costura-ecol-gica-juana\"><b>Ecological Sewing &#8211; Juana<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juana Margarita, a Venezuelan who lives in the Jardim Floresta Shelter, after going through the training on sewing from SENAC, became an overseer of the practice groups of the&nbsp;<b><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/en\/?s=+Centro+de+Forma%C3%A7%C3%A3o+Cultural+Ind%C3%ADgena+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICTC<\/a><\/u><\/b>, monitoring other shelter women in teaching how to make various types of clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She creates everything from uniforms for other business people to wedding dresses for the Warao in the shelters. She also encourages other ventures, such as the support given from the beginning for the manufacture of alpargatas (canvas shoes) in Kawarao brand fabrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has currently begun to use recyclable materials for the production of wallets, purses, bags, and even ecological absorbent products, adding the issue of sustainability to her brand. She has a business catalog on the WhatsApp Business app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_6-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Entrepreneurship \" class=\"wp-image-133095\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_6-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_6-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_6-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_6.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">KAWARAO \u2013 Manufacture of handmade alpargatas (canvas shoes)<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Bruno Avilio Arintero and Olive Niel Heredia, both from the Pintol\u00e2ndia Shelter, began the project through the encouragement of Carlos Carambia, of Argentina, a humanitarian server of the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fraterinternacional.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HumanitarianFraternity (FIHF)<\/a><span lang=\"EN-US\"><b><u><\/u><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fabric alpargatas (canvas shoes) were a success from the beginning and the entrepreneurs had to expand, bringing four more members of their family into the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_4-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Entrepreneurship \" class=\"wp-image-133089\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_4-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_4-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_4-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/Empreendedorismo_FFHI_FMHI_4.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Bread Shop and Confectionary \u2013 Le\u00f3n Enrique<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the time he and his family entered the Pintol\u00e2ndia Shelter four years ago, Le\u00f3n Enrique has taken advantage of several opportunities for training. He has done several courses, and ended up becoming an entrepreneur in the area of bread-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He received help from the PADF to get the necessary materials for beginning the production of bread and has been  organizing himself to expand  his knowledge and learning, and currently receives orders from several clients, keeping his production and sales at the ICTC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b><span lang=\"EN-US\">Living Pharmacy in Wood \u2013 Mauricio Fiscal Grande<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bringing together two areas of knowledge and two passions, medicinal plants and carpentry, Mauricio Fiscal Grande offers people the opportunity to have healing plants in their homes. For this, he has a testing shop located in the&nbsp;<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.missoeshumanitarias.org\/en\/?s=+Centro+de+Forma%C3%A7%C3%A3o+Cultural+Ind%C3%ADgena+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICTC<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those are projects that are in a more advanced process of monitoring, and several others are in progress, and as Sister Mar\u00eda de Kibeho affirms, \u201caccompanying the businessperson is a constant challenge, but it is precisely the obstacles or difficulties that the businessperson faces daily that strengthens them and helps them move forward. Seeing the shining eyes of whomever continues with the process is the reward of a great effort.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1
