The general manager of the Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Missions (FIHM)<\/a>, Friar Luciano, will give a lecture on the 12th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> of February about \u201cThe value of our knowing international protocols within the context of humanitarian responses and emergencies\u201d during the Hybrid International Conference on Planning, Challenges of Disaster Management, and Resilience \u2013 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Conference will take place from the 11th to the 13th of February and is being organized by the Department of Chemistry \u2013 Hephaestus Advanced Research Laboratory, of the Hellenic International University, in Athens, Greece. It will also be transmitted live on Zoom and Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The target audience of the event is government officials, members of IDAFK \u2013 Environmental Disasters Management agency, academics, civil society, environmentalists, and others interested in the topic of climate change and the humanitarian response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friar Luciano explains that his lecture, within the context of training in disaster situations, both natural and manmade, will be able to contribute to \u201creinforcing the basic principles of a first interdisciplinary and multisectoral assistance for the optimization of resources and the effectiveness of the emergency assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The public participating in the Hybrid Conference will also be able to participate in the Sphere Standards<\/a> Workshop, taking place on February 15th<\/sup>, which will address the Sphere Standards<\/a>, and be conducted by humanitarian workers of the\u00a0Fraternity \u2013 International Humanitarian Missions (FIHM)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The general manager also says that the Hybrid Conference will be an opportunity not only for the Fraternity \u2013 Humanitarian Missions (FIHM), but also for whomever is active in humanitarian responses, because \u201cit expands discussions on the repercussions of the effects of climate changes, shortages of food and water, natural disasters, and prevention, among other subjects within the context of emergencies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The registration fee is ten or twenty Euros (\u20ac10.00 or \u20ac20.00), and the e-certificate will be provided after the Conference and the completion of the post-evaluation survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participation as speakers, of Frei Luciano and other humanitarian workers of the Fraternity – International Missions (FMHI), will be physically present at this event and it will be pro bono<\/em>, that is, voluntary and free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
