The work of the volunteer missionaries in this point-in-time mission carried out in Egypt’s capital, Cairo, converged on the houses maintained by the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, where they took care of the elderly, babies, and addressed any other needs that these houses had.
It also assisted the ones most in need, in support of the work developed by the Missionaries of Charity in the peripheral neighborhoods of As Shubra and Mokattam, around the Egyptian capital, the largest city in the Arab world.
- Support services in the nursing home for the elderly rescued from the streets of the city, including nursing care, food and recreational activities.
- Services at the daycare center that welcomes children from families working as garbage recyclers, offering specific care for babies.
- Cleaning, maintenance and painting of the facilities.
