Forest Zone Mission

The overflow of the Casca River, caused by heavy rains, created an emergency for residents of the region. In response to this crisis, volunteer missionaries from the Fraternity – Humanitarian (FFHI) settled in the region and focused their efforts on the village of Vista Alegre, in the municipality of Rio Casca.

This mission mainly provided health support by a specialized team that took care of both the affected population and the employees who worked on other relief fronts.


  • Support and care along with health teams in the medical, dental, psychological and nursing areas.
  • Organization of lectures for local city halls officials about risk management and emergency responses.
  • Donations of medicines.
  • Restoration of houses affected and damaged by floods.
