Choir in the Nucleus-of-Light of Roraima
On Sunday, 26, in the morning, members of the monastery of the Grace Mercy Order and missionaries of the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation – went to visit the place where the new Nucleus-of-Light of Roraima will be located. A harmonization and an attunement were made in the place.

In the late afternoon, the first rehearsal of the choir in the current place of the Nucleus-of-Light of Roraima, with the participation of members of the Network-of-Light, monastery and missionaries. “It is the seed of a choir that has healing as its purpose”, said Claudia, a missionary of the Fraternidade.

Monday began with a meeting with the Integrated Cabinet of Migratory Management in the Civil Defense of Roraima, with the participation of members of the Fraternidade, Civil Defense and other organs of the Brazilian government, such as the Army and the ABIN – Brazilian Intelligence Agency. In the public audience, the theme was how the new phase of the CRI – Center of Reference to the Immigrant will be, with the solution to problems such as sewage, conditions of the toilets and water draining.

“We have some promises of help to the CRI. We will have to wait for the next weeks to see what in reality will come as support to the task of the shelter”, said Claudia.

Haircut and hair-wash to remove lice and nits in twenty people in the CRI.

On Tuesday, 28, teacher of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Roraima and students of the graduation course of Literature visited the Cri, where they will make a work of the course.

Vans of the dental attendance service of the SESAI – Special Secretary of Indigenous Health – are in the CRI, where they will stay until Friday, assisting the refugees.

The works of haircut, hair-wash and lice- and nit-removal continued. A survey was done to know about cases of chickenpox in the place.

On Wednesday, 29, in the morning, collaborators and missionaries of the Fraternidade participated in a videoconference in the Federal Public Ministry of Roraima, where were present representatives of this institution, the secretariat of International Subjects of the state and members of the Civil Defense. It had the participation of representatives of several organs of the Federal and State Government, institutions connected to human rights and Indigenous leaders, besides some Indigenous people of the Warao ethnic group.

The theme of the videoconference was the situation of the Venezuelan people in Brazil, mainly of the Indigenous people of the Warao ethnic group. The rather chaotic situation of the Warao people who are in the city of Manaus, and the better human rights compliance that the Warao who are in Boa Vista city are receiving, in great part due to the work of the Fraternidade.

Suggestions and requests were listened, both from the organs of the government and from the civil organs. “We perceive that this cause of the Venezuelan brothers and sisters is becoming more and more known to the organs of the government, and that we are somehow collaborating for a solution to arise for these people”, said Clara, a missionary of the Fraternidade.
