The heavy rains that occurred in the State of Bahia in December of 2021 affected more than 800 thousand people in 174 municipalities, according to the Superintendent of Protection and Civil Defense of Bahia (Sudec).
“I’ll tell you one thing: I am still hindered, because I don’t know where to start; because 5 years is not 5 days. But I’m here, alive and healthy, thinking what to do next, and we’re going to try,” affirms Zé da Lapa, the interviewee in this video that tells about his struggles to recover his life together with his family and the support of the humanitarian workers of the Fraternity –Humanitarian Missions (FIHM) and partners.
