Looking through the eyes of another. To see their reality. And, who knows, perhaps feel what another feels? This virtual photographic exhibition is an invitation to stop for a few moments and try to see, through the eyes of the young Venezuelan immigrants and refugees, the reality of those who live in the humanitarian shelters. With beauty, poetry and delicacy, these young people show us the daily life of the Pintolândia Shelter, in Boa Vista, Roraima, under the management of the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation (FFHI).
These photos were taken by young Venezuelan natives who took refuge in Brazil due to the crisis in their country of origin. They left everything behind, and living as refugees, keep hoping to have a better life.
The Humanitarian Fraternity (FFHI) has been active since 2016 in Roraima in caring for Venezuelan refugees. As the implementing partner of the UN Agency for Refugees (UNHCR), it is responsible for the management of three indigenous shelters, and its goal is to find lasting solutions for this population.
