The missionaries continued the activities of support in the preparation and serving of breakfast and of lunch, and conducted tasks of cleaning and maintenance in House 1 of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, in Athens.
Association of Lagonisi
The activity of tidying of the storage of clothes begun last week with the team of the Association of Lagonisi (a town about 30 km from Athens and 13 km from the missionary base) also continued. The group of missionaries met the person responsible for the association and accepted the request to also assume the distribution of clothes.
“It is a work that is deepening with this new group of people. The expansion of the task with the distribution of the clothes and other activities that the association conducts will make it possible that we also have a certain autonomy in the region of the missionary base”, said Shen, a missionary of the Fraternidade – International Humanitarian Federation.
Folklore presentation
In the Orthodox Church of Saint Theodore, in the city of Anavissos, the group helped the organization of clothes for donation and the daily distribution of provisions, and then they were invited to watch a celebration with a show of dance and music typical of several regions of Greece.
