Group leaves on Mission to the region of Mariana, Minas Gerais

The group of volunteers of the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation, left last Tuesday, 25, the town of Carmo da Cachoeira, Minas Gerais, Brazil, the entity’s headquarters, towards the city of Mariana.the group will perform attendance to the animals victims of the disaster that occurred on November 5, when the breaking of dams provoked a flood of mud in the district of Bento Rodrigues and affected other towns in the region.

The group is composed of 13 persons, of which seven are Missionaries, two members of the Solar Group, specialized in emergencies attendances and four volunteers specialized in animal attendance from House Light on the Hill, all participants in the Fraternity – International Humanitarian Federation.

It will be a five-hour trip to Mariana, when the group will unload and start to use the two tons of materials that have been raised.they are animal feed, medicine, cleaning material, smail-sized animals, beds, mattresses and bowls.the group also takes equipment of rescue from height and emergency kits.

grupo_Mariana_doacoesThe situation that the collaborators expect to find in the region of the disaster is very complicated, with animals that are stuck, stressed, very debilitated, wounded, hungry and thirsty.
