The Fraternity – International Humanitarian Missions (FIHM) made two visits to Poland in March and June, for the purpose of assessing the situation and gaining some clarity on the local scenario so as to refine its plan of action and potential partnerships.
The objective of the mission is to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by the war which, according to the data of the UNHigh Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), has already displaced more than 11 million people from the Ukraine into the countries of the European Union, Poland being the main destination country. Women and children represent more than 90% of the profile of people coming into the country.
