Seeking to promote actions that make an integration of the immigrant and refugee Venezuelan population in Brazil possible, so these families can achieve financial autonomy, the Fraternity – Humanitarian Missions (FIHM) created the Livelihoods and Lasting Solutions Intervention Sector.
The great challenge of any humanitarian response throughout the world is to find alternatives for the socioeconomic insertion of the refugees into the host community, so that in this way, they are able to free themselves from welfare assistance and rebuild their lives in a dignified manner.
Beginning with that premise, among the principle objectives held by this sector are:
- • Promote resilience to transform crises into possibilities and opportunities for growth.
- • Encouraging community participation through workshops where people are qualified and can replicate what they learned.
To implement these actions, various courses are offered at the Indigenous Culturaland Training Center (CCFI) so the shelter inhabitants are able to gain access to the job market.
