Every minute, 25 people are forced to leave their homes, their places of origin, as a result of conflict or persecution, environmental disasters or socio-economic crises in the world, which represents more than 80 million displaced persons. Of these, about 50% are minors, under 18 years of age, according to UNHCR (United Nations Refugee Agency) data.
Behind the coldness of these figures, there are people who face the impossible to reach a safe place. And in a year when the Covid-19 pandemic is devastating the planet, the challenges have increased; but by joining forces, Humanitarian Fraternity ( FIHF), Operation Welcome, UNHCR and other partners are working to overcome this health crisis.
Together, they are putting in place lasting solutions so that refugees and immigrants may rebuild their lives. They are slowly weaving new possibilities, building new paths, for Together we are stronger!
