The Paraguay Mission will take place from June 21 thru July 4, 2016, and will have the participation of 18 missionaries of different nationalities. Four members of the Paraguay Network-of-Light will integrate the group and later will continue and follow the needs of the region, together with the support of the Network-of-Light of the South of Brazil and of the Network-of-Light of Argentina.

‘With the creation of the Planetary Mission Network, the idea is that the regional missionaries continue the missions, as it is starting to happen in the Brazilian Northeast and in the Argentinian Chaco, where there have been missions of the Fraternidade’, said Ricardo Baumgartner, the coordinator of the Missionaries sector of the Fraternidade.

During the 14 days of the mission, the group will work in three Indigenous Communities, located in the east of Paraguay, in the department of Alto Paraná, in the region of City of the East, in the border with Brazil. These communities live in precarious conditions concerning basic questions of health, housing, nourishment and instruction.

The missionaries will concentrate the assistance in the area of health and guidance on supplying the basic needs in a stable and sustainable way.
